Why Your Company (and You) Need to Re-Energize

As organizations attempt to return to pre-pandemic productivity, it’s become clearer that focusing on the health of employees is one of the best ways to enhance your company’s bottom line.

Holly Duckworth and Jim Spellos both overcame major adversity to learn that the secrets of employee productivity (through a healthy life) are right at their fingertips…and they want to share those secrets with you and your team.

They have created a program designed to focus on improving the mental and physical health of your employees by demonstrating how and why lifestyle, mindfulness and healthy eating are essential components of a productive team.

After this program, the attendee will be able to:

  • Understand the benefits of mindfulness, and learn a simple tool to help them implement it in their daily routine

  • Identify 5 myths of nutrition that are helping to keep people overweight and chronically ill

  • Discover 6 tools to enhance their learning and implementation of the concepts learned in this program

Why Re-Energize

Customized to fit your needs, this program can be delivered live or virtually, as a one session overview or as a multi-session deeper dive.  Can your organization afford not to try something this simple?

About the Program

Re-Energize weaves together the concepts of mindfulness and healthy eating (through a Whole Food, Plant-Based approach) to help improve the health and well-being of all participants.  Whether the format is 90 minutes, half-day, or multiple sessions (customizable for each group), professional trainers Holly Duckworth and Jim Spellos share their life experiences and knowledge of the topics to create didactic and interactive learning modules designed to expand the knowledge of the audience, while giving attendees tools to continue their journey to optimal health that extend beyond the workshop.

The workshop also includes all attendees gaining access to the Re-Energize Your Life mobile app, designed by Holly and Jim to provide ongoing resources for attendees to continue their learning and practice of what they gained during the sessions.

James Spellos is the President of Meeting U. whose mission for over 20 years is to help people become more productive and comfortable with technology through his highly acclaimed educational sessions.  Since 2017 he has added one more topic to his technology sessions – how to help people cut through the noise and misinformation online and learn about optimal health and nutrition.

Always hovering between overweight and obese, Jim’s ultimate wake-up call occurred in late 2016, when he suffered an ischemic stroke, compromising the entire right side of his body.  After he fully recovered, he soon learned he had almost complete blockage in his “widow-maker” artery and needed an immediate procedure to prevent a fatal cardiovascular event.

Jim’s journey includes using his technology skills to learn about the optimal diet and lifestyle for health, losing 120 lbs, reducing his medication to almost nothing, dropping his cholesterol 200 points, and ultimately being told by his cardiologist that he’s never seen anything like it.

In 2022, Meeting Professionals International included Jim on their most influential list throughout their 50 year history for his educational sessions in the hospitality industry.  He was a faculty member at New York University for 25 years receiving both their Award for Teaching Excellence and their Outstanding Service Award. In 2015, Jim was named one of the Meeting Industry’s trendsetters by Meetings Today magazine.

Jim is on the Board of Directors for Rock and Wrap It Up, an anti-poverty, anti-hunger organization which recovers excess food from concerts, sports, and other events.  Jim co-created their Whole Earth Calculator app. He also speaks about food recovery and sustainability to groups around the country.

He has a certificate in Plant-Based Nutrition from the T. Colin Campbell Center for Nutritional Studies, is a certified Physician’s Committee for Responsible Medicine’s Food for Life Instructor, and supports Plant Powered Metro New York in educating people about a healthy diet and lifestyle, which helped to save his own life.
